Name the range before you chase the break

A short desk habit that keeps breakout study honest on busy ICT evenings.

Before drawing arrows, ask whether price is still contained. A named range—last clear swing high and low—gives the break something to be measured against.

In Utilitycedar labs we write one sentence of containment, then mark the level that would end that sentence. Only after that do we discuss whether a close beyond the level is meaningful.

This order of operations keeps journals comparable week to week, even when you practice after a long day at work.
